As former farmer village and residential area of the 'High Society' Oberdöbling doesn't have to offer many sights unless of course many green spaces, parks and noble villas. Here one lives therefore to care for an adequate, quiet way of life and not go down in the Troubel of the city. The Cottageviertel is part of the finest and most expensive residential areas of Vienna. Das Cottageviertel gehört nach wie vor zu den feinsten und teuersten Wohngegenden Wiens.
The many old villas and noble houses as well as the quiet lanes full of trees and green spaces are characteristic. Many socialites live here, for example Thomas Hampson and Arik Brauer.
Most embassies and consulates are established in this area today.
No industrial plants are in Oberdöbling established either, only the famous champagne producer Kattus produces here. For the party tigers interesting: good frequented Clubbings take place regularly here. But also otherwise Oberdöbling has a lot to offer for the evening. Noble or trendy bars just like fine restaurants and cozy caffeehouses. One is out here less for work than on society. To see and to be seen!
Of course, there is nothing to say against an extensive walk in the nearby 'Türkenschanzpark', a visit of the Döblinger district museum or an extensive stroll around town which can be tackled without problems with the excellent public transport.
